His design will be the subject of both the national awareness campaign and the L'Occitane limited edition travel pack. L’Occitane will be producing 4,000 units of the pouch and 100% of the proceeds will go to the L’Occitane Foundation to help the visually impaired.

The three alumni of the Architecture Undergraduate Programme at UCSI have commented that whilst the process was challenging, they were ultimately pleased with their success and that it was a huge milestone for them. The attainment of the Professional Qualification, as well as the maintenance of knowledge comes not only from past and on-going experience, but also serves as the reflection of an individual’s ability to develop accurate, safe and efficient solutions to the practical problems of mankind.

UCSI STUDENTS WIN BEST SOLAR CAR AWARD
Ng Weng Mun, Chong Ying Hai and Ngo Kah Lock |  Engineering StudentsUCSI University Engineering students Ng Weng Mun, Chong Ying Hai and Ngo Kah Lock won the Best Solar Car Award in the Solar Car Competition 2020 (SCAR’20) organised by MAHSA University. All three students are from the Mechatronics Engineering programme. The participants were divided into seven groups, with three per group where each group had their own solar car.

PROFESSOR OOI’S PAPER IS TOP 1% IN ACADEMIC FIELD OF SOCIAL SCIENCE
Professor Ooi Keng Boon |  Faculty of Business and Information ScienceUCSI’s Faculty of Business and Information Science dean Professor Ooi Keng Boon has received two new recognitions for his continuing hard work and dedication in research, particularly on the topic of mobile credit cards.
The first recognition was by Clarivate Analytics which placed his paper ‘NFC Mobile Credit Card: The Next Frontier of Mobile Payment?’ in the top 1% of the academic field of social science. The second was for the same article which was recognised as a Highly Cited Article Paper by the journal Telematics and Informatics, Vol. 31, No. 2, pp. 292-307 (Elsevier, SSCI, JCR-2018, IF = 3.714, Q1-ranked journal). The article was co-authored with Dr Garry Wei-Han Tan, Dr Siong-Choy Chong and Dr Teck-Soon Hew.
