CONGRATULATIONS TAN ZHI XIN

Achiever of Academic Excellence and Scholarship Award by UCSI University Trust. She has been appointed as the head of human resources department of MindFlu, a youth initiative from UCSI University in advocating mental well-being and social inclusion.

MindFlu was selected as one of the best three in the Project for Happiness by the Khind Starfish Foundation for the second year in a row. She works hand in hand with the refractive surgeon and plays a role in refractive surgery co-management.

BEST VIDEO PRESENTER AWARD AT THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON EDUCATION, HUMANITIES AND TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH 2021

Congratulations Assistant Professor Dr Sheiladevi Sukumaran and Sharmanee Thiagarajah from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for winning the Best Video Presenter Award at the International Conference on Education, Humanities and Technology Research from 28 to 29 August 2021 together with Dr Bavani Naido, an MSc (Healthy Aging, Aesthetics & Regenerative Medicine) alumni. They beat 48 video presentations with their presentation titled, “Knowledge Perception and Willingness to Pay for Cord Blood Banking: A Pilot Study”.

BEST POSTER PRESENTATION AWARD AT THE 45TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE MALAYSIAN SOCIETY FOR BIOCHEMISTRY AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY 2021

Chan Chong Joo, a PhD student from the Faculty of Applied Sciences was awarded the Best Poster Presentation Award out of 69 posters presented, at the 45^th Annual Conference of The Malaysian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in conjunction with the 2^nd International Health and Medical Science Conference, on 18 to 19 August 2021. This event was in collaboration with the Young Scientist Network Malaysia (YSN).

The title of his poster presentation was "Downregulation of Specific Immunoglobulins Responses in Mice Fed with Recombinant Lactococcus Lactis Harbouring Ara H 2.02b Peanut Allergen". His supervisor was Associate Professor Dr Renee Lim Lay Hong from the Faculty of Applied Sciences.

BEST PRESENTER AT THE ORGANIZATIONAL AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE (OISMIC 2021)

- Currently practising clinical optometry and attaching with one of the glaucoma specialists at a well-known eye specialist centre in Johor Bahru.

Together with Nadiatul Syima Mohd Shahid and Nabilah Abdullah from UiTM, they beat other 44 papers with their presentation titled, "E-Learning of STEM in Malaysian Higher Education Institutions : Status and Challenges"
