Group Achievements at Tzu Chi Hospital, Taiwan

GROUP ACHIEVEMENTS AT TZU CHI HOSPITAL, TAIWAN.

11 students from the Pharmaceutical Science Faculty had the opportunity to experience their clerkship at Taipei Tzu Chi Hospital, Taiwan. Students were introduced to different kinds of oral and external use medications. They also joined in several discussions with the seniors to get updates on the in-patients’ sickness and progression. During their last week of the clerkship, they had the chance to experience as a practising pharmacist with patients.

Congratulations to Chong Kai Qi for being a finalist in the traditional design category in the Malaysian International Jewellery Competition.

She is the only Malaysian emerging as a finalist in the traditional design category.


Low Yi Ling

MALAYSIA ACA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2017

Low Yi Ling |  BCA(Hons) 3D Animation Design

Congratulations to Low Yi Ling for bagging first place and a trip to USA worth RM18,000 at the ACA Championship 2017.

The ACA World Championship is a global competition that sets a platform for students to showcase their work on a wider scale, while opening up many opportunities for them such as securing of employment.  The BCA(Hons)  3D Animation Design student will go on to represent Malaysia at the ACA World Championship in California, USA in July.


Low Suk Khe

FEMALE POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH AWARD

Low Suk Khe |  Master of Philosophy in Engineering

Congratulations to Low Suk Khe, Master of Philosophy in Engineering for winning the Female Postgraduate Research Award 2018 by UCSI University and the Organisation for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), Malaysian Chapter.

Suk Khe's research on developing a low cost agro-based natural adsorbent has been published in Ultrasonics Sonochemistry, Journal of Environmetal Chemical Engineering and International Journal of Engineering Transaction B: Applications.


Tan Li Ching

Congratulations to Tan Li Ching, Diploma in Hotel Management for winning the Champions Award (First Prize) in the Hansik Cooking Contest.

UCSI University was invited by the Korean Embassy to participate in this event.

YEAW LEE JOINED THE VANCOUVER SUMMER PROGRAMME. SHE GAINED A NEW PERSPECTIVE ON LIFE AND LEARNING.

  • Enrolled in two courses in the University of British Columbia from 15 July to 25 August 2017: Discovery of New Medicines and Personalising Medicines with Genomics and Biotechnology.
  • Evaluated through four exams, two presentations and participation during lectures.

It was an enriching experience for her both culturally and academically.
