Congratulations to Assistant Professor Dr Tan Chung Keat from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for successfully publishing an impactful article in the Scientific Reports.

The research article entitled “Effect of tiger milk mushroom (Lignosus rhinoserus) supplementation on respiratory health, immunity and antioxidant status: an open-label prospective study” reported that supplementation of tiger milk mushroom (TMM) significantly (p<0.05) suppressed the level of interleukin 1β, interleukin 8, malondialdehyde, and respiratory symptoms.

This research was conducted in collaboration with Nexus Wise Sdn. Bhd., Selangor, Malaysia.

PROFESSOR OOI’S PAPER IS TOP 1% IN ACADEMIC FIELD OF SOCIAL SCIENCE

UCSI’s Faculty of Business and Information Science dean Professor Ooi Keng Boon has received two new recognitions for his continuing hard work and dedication in research, particularly on the topic of mobile credit cards.

The first recognition was by Clarivate Analytics which placed his paper ‘NFC Mobile Credit Card: The Next Frontier of Mobile Payment?’ in the top 1% of the academic field of social science. The second was for the same article which was recognised as a Highly Cited Article Paper by the journal Telematics and Informatics, Vol. 31, No. 2, pp. 292-307 (Elsevier, SSCI, JCR-2018, IF = 3.714, Q1-ranked journal). The article was co-authored with Dr Garry Wei-Han Tan, Dr Siong-Choy Chong and Dr Teck-Soon Hew.
