FAS POSTGRADUATE STUDENT BAGS AWARD AT MIFT'S 11TH NATIONAL FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY COMPETITION.

Won 2nd runner up award in the Postgraduate Oral competition, while the JUJUBEST team won the 2nd runner up award in the Innovative Food Product Development competition. It was held at UTAR, Kampar (6-7 April 2019).

3RD ICMBB'S BEST POSTER PRIZE.

Looh Sung Cheng (BSc Hons Biotechnology 2nd year student) won the 3rd ICMBB's Science SLAM. The 3rd ICMBB, held from 24-25 April 2019, was co-organized by the Faculty of Applied Sciences at UCSI University and the Malaysian Society for Molecular Biology & Biotechnology.

WON A TRAVEL FELLOWSHIP FROM THE RIKEN CENTER FOR DEVELOPMENTAL BIOLOGY (CDB) TO ATTEND THE CDB SYMPOSIUM 2018

UCSI’s Faculty of Applied Sciences lecturer Ms. Karen Tan won a travel fellowship from the RIKEN Center for Developmental Biology (CDB) to attend the CDB Symposium 2018 - Dynamic Homeostasis: From Development to Aging in Kobe, Japan from 26-28 March 2018. 

GOLD WITH HONOUR IN THE 36TH NATIONAL CHINESE CULTURE FESTIVAL - RED SONATA FIESTA INTERNATIONAL ARTS FESTIVAL 2019

Congratulations Liaw Pei Xin and UCSI Chinese Orchestra Club for bagging gold with honour winner (Team) in the 36th National Chinese Culture Festival - Red Sonata Fiesta International Arts Festival 2019.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR DR LIM WEI HONG AWARDED THE CHARTERED ENGINEER

It was an honour for Assistant Professor Dr Lim Wei Hong, lecturer from Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering when he was awarded the Chartered Engineer qualification through the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on June 13, 2019.

This achievement also enables him to be registered by the Engineering Council, United Kingdom and authorised to use the title of Chartered Engineer.

RESEARCH ARTICLE PUBLISHED IN JOURNAL OF CLINICAL INVESTIGATIONS INSIGHT (JCI INSIGHT)

His participation in the research entitled “Sex-specific differences in endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1 modulation influence blood pressure and renin-angiotensis system responses” was published in the Journal of Clinical Investigations Insight (JCI Insight).

DR GANESHSREE WINS NATIONAL OUTSTANDING YOUNG EDUCATOR AWARD 2019

UCSI University’s Faculty of Business and Information Science (FoBIS) deputy dean Associate Professor Dr Ganeshsree Selvachandran recently won the National Outstanding Young Educator Award 2019 (fuzzy computing and artificial intelligence) at a prestigious awards ceremony held to recognise the contributions of private educators in the nation.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR DR QUEK SHIO GAI PROVES THAT DEVELOPMENTAL DISORDERS ARE NOT IMPEDIMENT TO SUCCESS

If there is one thing that Assistant Professor Dr Quek Shio Gai has proven to us, it is that development disorders such as autism should never become a stumbling block to success.
