UCSI University’s Graduate Business School (GBS)’s Dean, Distinguished Professor Ts Dr Ooi Keng Boon, FASc said GBS welcomes all enthusiastic students interested in research and willing to acquire new knowledge. GBS is currently ranked Top 250 in the 2022 QS World University Rankings by Subject under the Business and Management category.

Recently, Distinguished Professor Dr Ooi has been recognised as one of the “World’s Top 20 Most Prolific Authors” and Malaysia’s Top #1 Prolific Author in Knowledge Management.

He has been ranked #14 in an article published in the journal of Technological and Economic Development of Economy (SSCI- 2020-JCR, Impact Factor= 3.970, ranked Q1) titled “Mapping knowledge management research: a bibliometric overview” by Shashi, Centobelli, P., Cerchione, R., & Merigo, J. M. (2022).

The ranking was determined based on a bibliometric analysis of 19,175 authors who published a total of 8,721 papers in the field of Knowledge Management over the last 30 years (1990-2019) using the Clarivate Analytics (Web of Science) database.

He said these recognitions would open doors and opportunities to international postgraduate students interested in pursuing knowledge management research at UCSI University.

As the only recognised author from Malaysia, Distinguished Professor Ooi is pleased to represent UCSI University (one of the World's top 300 established universities based on QS World University Rankings 2023) in bringing his research to the international level. He is also eager to continue his quest for new knowledge and share his research findings with the research community.

“The recognition further motivates me to strive harder in research, especially in knowledge management and it inspires me to continue my contribution to this area of research at the international level,” said Distinguished Professor Ooi.

Distinguished Prof Ooi has also published more than 100 papers in international refereed journals indexed to Clarivate Analytics-Web of Science (SSCI/SCI/SCIE), of which more than 80 papers have been published in A /A*-ranked journals based on the 2019 Australian Business Deans’ Council (ABDC) Journal Quality List.

His current Google Scholar Citation H-index is 77 (Scopus H-index = 62; Clarivate Analytics-Web of Science H-Index = 54 as of 16^th November 2022), with over 18,000 citations received from diverse authors and journals across different fields.
