UCSI University Signs MoU With “Silk Road” International University To Boost The Tourism Sector For Both Malaysia And Uzbekistan

UCSI University hosted the MoU signing ceremony with “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage here at Kuala Lumpur Campus on 31^st January 2023. The event was witnessed by Uzbekistan delegates led by His Excellency Ravshan Usmanov, Ambassador of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia. Through the MoU, the two universities look into increasing students’ mobility through exchange, organising international conferences and boosting edu-tourism for both countries. The two nations looked forward to the positive outcomes of cooperation beyond borders. On behalf of UCSI University, the Vice-Chancellor and UCSI Group’s CEO, Professor Datuk Ir Ts Dr Siti Hamisah binti Tapsir (FASc) gave the welcoming speech. Both Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academic and Internationalisation as well as Research and Postgraduate were also present, among others from UCSI Senior Management. The Deputy Governor of Samarkand Region, Mr Rustam Kobilov and Professor Juliboy Eltazarov, the first Vice-Rector of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage were also among the attendees.
