This is an undergraduate degree programme in commerce with a specialisation in Actuarial Studies that will produce graduates capable of bringing in quantitative analytics from actuarial modelling tools to commercial operations. They should be able to perform in-depth business analysis to expand customer accessibility and design business models for enhancement of profitability, skills that are of high demand in any industry.  It is a wise investment for younger students who want to have a promising career in this field in the future.

English Language Requirements
  • A score of Band 5.5 in IELTS or its equivalent as stipulated by the Ministry of Education of Malaysia.
  • In the event that the English Language Requirements are not met, student may be required to undertake additional English module(s) prior to or concurrently with the undergraduate programme, based on the University’s decision.
  • Applicants who have studied at least one year in a programme at an Institution of Higher Learning with minimum overall CGPA of 2.00 / average percentage of 50% where English is the medium of instruction. Applicants must produce a verification letter from the Institute of Higher Learning  confirming the medium used in the delivery of the programme was in English.

Graduates of our counterpart programme in the Kuala Lumpur campus find employment in insurance industries as actuarial executives. For those who prefer to work outside insurance businesses, they may pursue a career in the banking or investment sectors. Some of our graduates choose to build their career in business analysis or financial risk management.
