A-Levels Students Mark a New Record for UCSI University Sarawak Campus


KUCHING: Nervous students all over the world anticipated their A-Level results which were recently published. A-Level students of UCSI University Sarawak Campus were certainly no exception. 

Loh Chen Lam, one of centre’s star students struck a new record for the university by getting straight A*s for his A-Levels.“I am happy with my result and feel really grateful to all the lecturers” Loh said with enthusiasm. “The environment at UCSI University allowed me to adapt easily. The university, although housed in a small campus, has been able to provide everything I need throughout the course. The lecturers here are passionate and helped a lot in providing beneficial information for my studies and gave extra resources to improve my understanding towards the subjects taken. I really appreciate their hard working guiding me to get the result that I strived to get” he added. 

Another top scorer, Tai Sin Yee scored one A* and two As. She said “I feel really happy as my hard work for this one-and-a-half year has paid off. I had a great experience at UCSI University. The environment here makes me feel comfortable as if I am studying at home with the lecturers as my family members. I really appreciate their hard work to pull our socks up and spent so much time to help the weaker ones. I would say my good results are a credit from these passionate and responsible lecturers.” 

Apart from Loh and Tai, a few students received their exam results bearing good news as well --- straight A’s. These students include Then Shi Lee,Tiong Nee, Angela Lim and Leong Shay Mei. 

“These students and my academic team have worked hard, so they deserve the best grades. We not only have students scoring straight As but straight A*s as well now and intend to work towards producing more of straight A* students. We indeed look forward to seeing them excel in their further studies” said Mukvinder Sandhu, the Head of Centre for Pre-U Studies, proud with her students’ achievements. 

Besides GCE A-Levels, the programmes offered at the Centre for Pre-U Studies at UCSI University Sarawak Campus are the Foundation Studies, Arts and Science Streams and English Enrichment Programme for international students lacking English requirements for their chosen degree programmes at UCSI. 

The enrolment for the GCE A-Levels programme at UCSI University is now in progress. The GCE A-Level programme is offered at Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak Campuses while the foundation programmes are offered at all campuses which include the Terengganu Campus as well.
