UCSI University Signs MoU for International Research Collaboration

On May 29th, 2024, UCSI University had the distinct honour of hosting His Excellency Ary Quintella, Ambassador of Brazil to Malaysia, and Professor Scott Fahrenkrug, co-founder of Forjazul Inc, at its Kuala Lumpur campus.
 
During their visit, the esteemed guests toured the institution’s aquatic science facilities and engaged in insightful discussions with Distinguished Prof Dr Phang Siew Moi, Malaysia’s foremost academic in algal biotechnology. This meeting of minds has set the stage for a collaborative effort that promises to drive innovation and champion biodiversity.
 
The highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UCSI University, Bio Bureau Biotecnologia and Forjazul Inc. This partnership aims to:
 
- Facilitate student and staff exchanges
- Promote joint research opportunities
- Develop collaborative teaching and outreach programmes
- Share best practices
- Organise courses, lectures and symposia
 
By uniting their expertise and resources, the parties are committed to applying science for the greater good and developing sustainable solutions that are both timely and timeless.
