Distinguished Professor Ts Dr Ooi Keng Boon, Dean of UCSI University’s Graduate Business School, has earned the distinction of being named the World's Most Productive Author in the Total Quality Management (TQM) - Human Resource Management (HRM) domain.  

He is ranked #1 Top in the world, and has been recognised in an article published by "The TQM Journal" (Emerald, Scopus) titled "Bridging the gap between TQM and HRM: mapping knowledge and identifying areas for future research," by Flamini, G., Pareschi, L., & Martinez, M. (2023).

Based on a bibliometric analysis of 132 articles published in the TQM-HRM field from 1991 to 2021, using the Scopus database, the ranking identified Distinguished Professor Ooi as the top author worldwide. With 14 publications in this area, he has amassed a staggering 1,501 citations.

His research has had a significant impact on the ongoing discussion around the theoretical development linking performance appraisal and Total Quality Management performance.

As the Dean of UCSI's Graduate Business School, Distinguished Professor Ooi has demonstrated his commitment to promoting academic excellence and pushing the boundaries of knowledge in his field.

His recognition as the World's Most Productive Author in the TQM-HRM domain is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and contribution to the advancement of the field. "I am thankful for this recognition", said Distinguished Professor Ooi.

He also expressed his appreciation to the top management of UCSI for the opportunities and support the university has given him throughout the years and hopes the recognition would spur more research related to TQM-HRM among the postgraduate students at UCSI.

Distinguished Professor Ooi has had over 140 of his papers published in international refereed journals indexed by Clarivate Analytics-Web of Science (SSCI/SCI/SCIE).

Out of these, over 90 papers have been published in A/A*-ranked journals, as per the 2022 Australian Business Deans' Council (ABDC) Journal Quality List.

In addition to his extensive publication record, Distinguished Professor Ooi has earned an impressive H-index of 80 on Google Scholar (66 on Scopus and 56 on Clarivate Analytics-Web of Science).

His work has received over 20,000 citations from a broad range of authors and journals in the fields of information technology and industrial management.
