Chu Chee Chin | Student, Doctor of Philosophy (Science)Chu Chee Chin, a PhD student from the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS), was awarded the Best Presentation in Drug Delivery and Nanotechnology Award and the Second Prize Award for the Best Oral Presentation at the Inaugural Monash International Health Science and Technology Conference (MONASH INITITIATE 2021) on 16 – 17 June. Her supervisor is Associate Professor Dr Nyam Kar Lin, Head of Research and Postgraduate Studies of FAS.
The title of her research presentation was “Antiaging Potential of Sunscreen Formulated from Nanostructured Lipid Carrier and Palm Oil Tocotrienol-rich Fraction”.

SUCCESSFULLY PUBLISHED AN IMPACTFUL ARTICLE IN THE SCIENTIFIC REPORTS
Assistant Professor Dr Tan Chung Keat | Faculty of Medicine and Health SciencesCongratulations to Assistant Professor Dr Tan Chung Keat from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for successfully publishing an impactful article in the Scientific Reports.
The research article entitled “Effect of tiger milk mushroom (Lignosus rhinoserus) supplementation on respiratory health, immunity and antioxidant status: an open-label prospective study” reported that supplementation of tiger milk mushroom (TMM) significantly (p<0.05) suppressed the level of interleukin 1β, interleukin 8, malondialdehyde, and respiratory symptoms.
This research was conducted in collaboration with Nexus Wise Sdn. Bhd., Selangor, Malaysia.
